"Valentine's Day Gift Bag"- BLOG HOP!!

Hello and Happy Saturday!!

Today I'm hopping and pouncing along with some sweet friends from the Pride, "Just a Few Friends"! We are a cool little group of crafters who have joined together in a "pack" to share our creative projects!

So today's theme is to alter a bag for Valentine's Day and to use pinks, brown, blacks and red....not necessarily in that order....and we don't have to use them all....I went super soft with my bag and added a little twist to it!

But first let me share that there is a new cub in our pack....she just joined us a bit ago, her name is Carrie Corbin!! Welcome Ms Carrie!! She is so sweet and super duper ubber talented...I met her on YT and then FB!! So I am happy she is a part of this pride! Please visit her...I'll have her blog link along with my other Pride friends below.....there is typically an order to a hop, so if you didn't start from the top, please do so by visiting Elsa!! Her blog link is at the top of the list, below!
Oh, we also have our blog "Fan Page" up where you can see pictures and read bio's on each member of the Pride HERE!

So, here is my project! Here's the video intro:) tutorial to follow!

My tutorial on how I made the bag!

I used some great quality paper bags for my gift bag,
you can find those HERE.
The Melissa Frances paper and resin heart I had in my stash, but the embellishments I used I got from Discount Paper Crafts except the
beautiful seam binding!
I got that from my good friend Patsy at "Prairie Bird Boutique" on Etsy! Pretty right? :)

Hope you like this bag and I hope you're inspired by the little twist I added!

It's a "Discount Paper Crafts" Crafty rumble event!!

Hello everyone!!

Please watch the video for info....

Here is the blog post with all the detailed info from Cathie's blog.....

Many of you have heard about Discount Paper Crafts Design Challenge 2013.  All six contestants have been notified and agreed to accept the challenge.  I wanted our international voters to be able to participate in this challenge too and since they couldn't be contestants because of mail time issues, I've come up with a way that you, the viewer, can win too!  These votes are open to everyone who votes whether you're an international voter or from the US.  Here is what you do:

1.  Watch the final submission video that I will have posted on my YT Channel discountcraftygirl.  Each contestants project will be shown through pictures and assigned a number.  For instance, Contestant #1, Contestant #2 and so on.
2.  Choose only ONE contestant who you think executed the challenge best and here are things to keep in mind when judging.
     a.  How well did they use the craft items in their package.
     b.  How well did they execute the style.
     c.  How well did they use the mystery item.
     d.  Did they use any new or interesting techniques on their project.
3.  Email me the NUMBER of the contestant you feel executed the challenge best.

  Email your vote to:  discountpapercrafts@cox.net
(Votes must come to this email address only!  Facebook messages, blog messages, etc. will NOT count as an entrance into the random voter drawing.)

4.  When you vote, your name will be placed into a random drawing to win a $20 gift certificate to my store.
5.  There will be a total of 4 challenges so you have 4 chances to win a gift certificate because there will be a viewer winner for each challenge.

We want to be sure the contestant(s) who executed the challenge(s) best, wins.  There will be two contestants eliminated after the first challenge.  The contestant who scores the lowest votes on Team Miranda and Team Linda will be eliminated.

I hope you can join in all the fun!  This will be exciting and hopefully push the contestants to a new level!

Voting for the first set of projects is on February 23rd!!!
Mark your calendars and please come vote!

Hugs! ;)

Did you order a lace bundle!?? :)

Hey there everyone!

Since last weekend when I posted my lace sale, I had no idea I would get the response that I did!

I had SOOOOOO many orders that first day that I just finished filling orders for that day, 2 days ago!!!! Seriously!

So I just wanted to tell everyone thank you Thank you!! to everyone who ordered! It helped my family so much!

I have a few spools left but so much of what I had is gone!! :)

I wanted to say thank you also for your patience. It's been about 1 week since I posted that sale and I am so happily buried in orders....I believe I am working on orders from January 28 and 29th now!
But, if you would like to know if your order has been sent out, you should have or will be getting an email from paypal that your order was "shipped". If you have not rec'd that yet, it should come in just another day or 2. Again, I really got buried....but you can email me to see where your order is at if you'd like, I totally understand! :)

*******

I am working on my lace listing now, that I have temporarily "drafted" off my blog so I can work on adding new arrivals! I'm excited about it!! I have already ordered some more but they're all coming at different times so it will take me a little longer than I would like to get them posted....
please be patient with me until I can get it up and running ok! Thanks!!

Watch for a video!

Thanks again everyone for all your support!!
It means more to me than you'll ever know! :)
