Shabby Chic Birthday Card!!!

Hello again!

As promised, here is my mom's card I made for her! In the previous post I shared our evening out for moms birthday along with pics! Have a look in you want, we had a great time with her!

I wanted to create a shabby girly card for her....she loves anything girly!! Using some Wild Orchid Crafts products, I decided to make this into a DT project:)

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Hey everyone!

Last week my mom celebrated her 74th Birthday...she says she's 49! She looks it too!:) 

My hubby and I wanted to take her out because she mentioned wanting to eat seafood...where better than Red Lobster! They were having an "All You Can Eat" shrimp special, so it was perfect to take her there!

Here are some pics of her having a good time with pops! 

We were waiting on our food here....

She ordered the Shrimp with the pasta first....

She's so cute!!!...she had two other shrimp sides....

This was silly.....we had already ordered desert and they came out with a biscuit with a candle sticking out of it...I got the picture late but she blew out her candle...and she did eat that biscuit, those are sooo good!!!

I told my pops to be careful because it looked hot...he dug in anyway....

I told ya papa!!
They shared it and I gave my mom her card!:)

I had waited until we were done with dinner to give her the card....and when I told her I had a card for her she said...."I was hoping I would get a handmade card"...then she smiled! :)

We Love you mom! My brother Tony sent her some monies so she can go shopping and spend for herself! Well, Macy's was having a sale and she found some shoes on clearance! Look how she scored 5 pairs!!!...she was so happy that she asked me to take a picture of her with her shoes and send it to my brother so he can see how happy he made her...so, I did!!

It made her happy and she had a great day! I thank God for her, she's an amazing Christian woman, a great role model, strong and sassy:), we are so blessed to have her as our mom! My brothers and I would all agree that if not for my mothers prayers, we don't know where we would be in our lives. For everything we've been through in our lives, our mother was always there guiding and counseling! She's a great little woman and we lover her dearly!

"Dear Friend" Webster's Pages card!!

Hello!!

Hope you're having a great day today! 

Thanks for stopping in to peek at what I'm sharing today!

In the previous post I shared a sweet Disney "Cinderella" card I made for a sweet little girl named, Jocelyn! I recently sent her a package and I wanted to send a card for mama too, so todays card is what I made for her:)

One of my favorite paper company is Webster's Pages! One of their releases from Winter 2012 is "Sunday Picnic" and Everyday Poetry" these 2 collections are combined together in this paper pack that are 6"x6" and are perfect for small projects, like cards! 

I didn't make a video tutorial since I had already began packing my room for my move (it takes a little bit to do the editing for a video, and I just didn't have the time then) so I apologize for that. I did try my best to explain how I made it. I also have tried to link all the products I used to make this card.

Cinderella "For You" Card!

Hello!

Hope everyone is having a great week! It's almost Friday! yay!!!

I'm sharing a sweet card I made for a sweet little girl! Her name is Jocelyn! Her mom, "Friday", is a sweet friend...we've known each other for a couple years and I had about a year ago sent Jocelyn a package of goodies so she can craft and scrapbook with her mom!  I wanted to send her another little package, so I grabbed a bunch of Hello Kitty stuff and made her this card to go with her goodies! Hi Jocelyn!!!

I also made her mom a card, I'll share it in the next post:) Hello Friday!

Anna is creating!!

Hello all!!

Today I'm sharing a project my Anna made earlier this week! 

She's made a couple of these in the past and I just could not let it go un-noticed, so I asked her to share it on video and she did! Still kinda shocked she agreed to...she's very shy!:)

I was able to catch a couple pics of her while she was creating and then some of her project! I was overjoyed to see her making something....it's the 1st project made in my new space....so cool!!

I love when she wants to come in and use something...she'll say something like, "Mom, do you have..........?" ....and I am just "jumping" inside.....and get her what she needs as composed as I can be or ....I might scare her away! LOL!... 

She let me shoot a pic of it as the crayon is melting......

Here is the project and then some close-ups! :)  Anna said the color of the crayon's is supposed to represent the grass and dirt.....and then the flowers are what grows from the ground, so it's supposed be standing with the crayons melting upwards! Made sense to me! :)

Love this drippy part! It looks so stinkin' cool! The colors all meshed together and makes this such a cool piece. Anna went digging in my WOC flower stash and chose to go with the Chrysanthemums! She thought they were daisy's then when I showed them to her, she said she already liked the Chrysanthemums, so she used those! You can find them on the Wild Orchid Crafts website here, there are a few different colors to choose from!

Altered canvas, layout, card and brag book!!

Hello everyone!

This post make me a little sad......it's my very last assignment for Craft Warehouse. We've come to the end of this term and it's been a great year of creativity and challenges!  I am proud of myself for not quitting and for facing the challenges head on and pouring my heart into all my projects I've submitted! It was really a great experience! Thank you Craft Warehouse for the opportunity, I hope to take part in some future events:)

Ok, nuff' of the mushy stuff!

So, this assignment at the beginning of our move and I was able to complete, send in my projects by the deadline, but I didn't have time to edit and post my videos for them as soon as I was done...The due date was June 30th, I was done with editing by July 26th or so and just now able to upload them last night...so I apologize that I'm late, but nevertheless, I have it now and it's aired on Youtube with their tuts!

 This assignment was a very different one, we had a mixture of items/products in our box that we had to use. I was able to come up with projects I'm happy with!

Because these projects were so different, I decided to create 3 separate videos for them. 
I added them at the end of my post!

1st project:

 An altered canvas highlighting a foam stamp set by "Creative Cafe" 

which was a 4"  alphabet set! Easy to use and easy to clean in my opinion! Also some tiny wood stars from "Studio Calico", burlap ribbon, Tim Holtz numeral plaques, burlap hearts, clothespins, twine, and 2 canvas flowers from "Canvas Corp"!

2nd project was a LO (layout)! I was given some Disney paper of "The Princesses", Ariel, Jasmine and Cinderella! I have to say, this was hard for me to use as, 1, Anna was not a very girly girl and didn't like pink nor did she like to wear anything with the Princesses on it...she was a Winnie the Pooh fanatic! LoL But I made it work into a "non-themey" LO, over-all, I did it and I love it!

I went with my 2nd thought of paper for the background. Using the yellow card stock from American Crafts (Craft Warehouse has sooo many colors to choose from!) I really love the texture this card stock has on 1 side. But I used a strip to hide "Sebastian" the lobster in the little gazebo. I also created a sunrise with the same yellow card stock with some of the designer paper to hide "Ariel" sitting by a fountain! And then....I used a gorgeous picture of Anan from her 14th birthday and gave her that title...well, cuz it's true!

I fussy cut floral wreaths from 2 of the paper collections to frame Anna's picture... 
OMG, love this part the most I think! It was required for me to 
incorporate some washi tape in there too! 
These little pink stripped flags off either side of her picture was taped onto the 
yellow card stock and cut out!

The 3rd project was our "Designer's Choice" one...meaning I could make 
anything I wanted with this paper collection. 
I was given "Dearest" a mini theme paper kit by Echo Park!

So, I decided to make a little cute brag book and a card! LOVE these!  I made these on a whim too, just took me a couple hours!!...I cut some strips of paper and it just came together!! :) I Love when I have these moments...it isn't often I tell you! LOL!!

I had so much fun on this team and we were all so sad to see it end! We learned a lot from each other and always lifted each other up. It was awesome to see the other ladies work before the world did, it was so inspiring for me!
