Altered Prima flower tube container!

Hello everyone!
Sharing with you all today a cute little altered tube, this is a
Wild Orchid Crafts project share!!
I made these for my mom and dad! They LOVE chocolates! My mom especially.....she's a health freak but has a weakness for the chocolates...almost all girls do right?? LoL!
When she comes over she always opens drawers and looks in my pantry and says "No tienes un chocolatito por alli"? Which means, "Do you have any chocolate laying around"? :) She's so cute! She cracks me up!
So anyhow, I recycled these little Prima Essentials tube....the larger ones! I had like 5 of them from when I made my cameo kits! I threw them away until I thought about Valentine's being just around the corner and they could be filled with some goodies!!

This is what they look like before....

They look better filled with the flowers!...or chocolates right?
Here they are altered with designer paper and WOC!!
I tried to go girly with my moms and went more darker with my dads...I used black and red then a pop of white with my pops treat tube! I used K and Company's Madeline paper collection and some red Bazzil cardstock that I clear embossed a heart stamp randomly on it for the Valentine's theme!

I explain this and more on my video:

"Graphic 45 Design Team 2012 Audition"

Hello everyone!

Some of you may know that Graphic 45 is having a design team call for 2012.....omg...when I saw the post of the call I said to myself  I would love to be part of that awesome team! Too, if I don't at least try for the DT, I would be so upset with myself! I have to try:)

I'll be posting 6 projects, as per G45.
These are projects I've already made, not all but some are using Graphic 45 products, but I hope that my creativity is what shines:)
Keep me in your prayers friends! Thank you:)

Project #1
"1st School Day"
Using their oh so adorable, "An ABC Primer" paper collection and my new die I had custom made, I created a 9 page album! (5 full pages and 4 solid leaf pages for extra pics and
things.....and to be different)
More details on this project here.
Project #2
"Forever Friends"
This is an 11"x14" layout on Canvas using some Prima and Webster's pages and a lot of elements that created tons of texture!
More details on this project here.
Project #3
Custom made Bead Box
This was a plain/blank wooden cigar box I altered and made small dividers in it for supplies for jewelry making using chipboard and Prima's "Reflections" paper collection.
More details on this project here.
Project #4
"Happy Birthday"
My papa is 80!
I used Graphic 45 paper for a Birthday card for my dad! Making masculine cards isn't easy for me, but the theme of it fit perfectly...
more details on this project here.
......a close-up..
notice the little tie on the bottom right corner? I made it with satin ribbon...I thought it was "masculine", lol..
Project #5
"Victorian Cameo" mini album.
This is a 6 page mini album I created using Prima's "Romantique" paper collection. The album die cuts are from my customized die I designed with Accucut!
More details on this project here.
One of my favorite pages...
Stuff I hung off the binding ring...hmmm...lavender, in a bottle:)
Project #6
"Farmer's Market" ~ 9"Clothespin
This altered project is one of my fav's. I LOVE these clothespins! I used Graphic 45 papers from different collections...but
mainly from the Domestic Goddess collection. The clothespin can be used to hold recipe's or a picture or two!
Love the colors!!
More details on this project here.
(red checker and ruffle lace side)
(daisy and cherry blossom side)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just wanted to wish all of you a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Nothing like feeling loved and wanted and accepted weather it be by friends or family....but when a person you don't know sincerely mean it when they say it, it's so sweet!! I love that about the people I don't really know and they've emailed me just to say they care....Thank you to those who have emailed me today!

To my friends, old, new, those I know who have been around for a long time and not.....Have a very loving Valentine's Day!! Sending you all tons of hugs and kisses not just for today but for your life! I pray that you find comfort and fulfillment and satisfaction in what you are and who you are! I pray lots of love for you!

To my honey!
Nothing in this world makes my life more complete than you and our kids! I can't imagine it without you:) Since we met (I was 15) I didn't know then that you were the one......as we became friends and got to know each other and becoming good buds, it became more apparent to me that you made me happy every time we saw each other....and I felt those butterflies....it was bliss! I have to confess that even after 22 years and going through the storms of marriage....I see now that we both decided to go through them together, holding hands through it all, wiping each others tears, laughing at goofy things said and done and learning to laugh at each others embarrassing moments, I would not change a thing!! I love your hugs, your kisses, when you stroke my face or wipe a tear...I thank God everyday that he brought us together and along with those storms, He's been the captain of our boat and I would not have it any other way! You are and will always be the "Love of My Life!" I LOVE You!

To my kids!
Manny and Anna....(21 and 17) I cannot tell you how proud I am of you both!!  You make me laugh and you've made me cry, but you've also always let me know that you love me!
I know God sent you both to me to Mother and I hope that I've done a good job. What blows my mind about you both is now that you're grown (pretty much) you guys have never been afraid or embarrassed to say "I love you mom" and hug me! It doesn't happen to every mother and it's sad to me, but you both are the best kids a mom could ask for!!
I'm always here for you and even though you have to live you're lives, know that my heart is always yours and you know I'll do anything for you!! Thanks for letting me love and guide you! :)

God I thank you for always putting me in check and reminding me that you are the one who blesses when we're obedient...even though as your daughter I've not always been good, you have....how can I not Love you!? Before I met Manny, I remember I was 14 and not in a good relationship then...I asked you to send me to or send someone to me that would love me for me, someone who would treat me like I deserve, someone who didn't look for the influence of the world to be a good man, but be obedient to your word and be the man he was called to be. You remind me that no one is perfect, but that you would (as your word says) give me the desires of my heart...and so I thank you for taking care of me, your daughter, as a father should! Thank you for being the influence in our home and in our lives! We surely would have never made it this far without you! Thank you for your love and blessings! I LOVE you!! <3

This picture was taken last year while we were traveling home from a trip...no make-up, just woke up from a nap in the car.....but it was a great little moment to capture...Anna took this picture....thanks mama!

Thanks everyone for stopping by!
Have a very Blessed Valentine's Day!

New to Scrapbooking and Papercrafting!

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to share with everyone...in case you didn't know...that one of the fun things I love to do on youtube is share what I learn with new comers.

I get tons of emails regarding questions on all kinds of things having to do with scrapbooking, crafting, supplies, tools and stuff! So, I have for almost 2 years now hosted "Newbie Segments" on my Youtube channel. I have those videos in a playlist called "Tutorials, Tips and Newbie Segments"! Which you can find here!

So, I've decided to start sharing those videos here on my
blog.....I've shared some tuts but I think there may be
bloggers that are also new and this is just another place that they can come and learn somethings they may not have known! I feel it's my duty to help others and pass down things I've learned.
When I first started it was hard gathering info...
for some reason not many were willing to answer my questions and it made me feel bad. I don't want anyone to feel like I felt! So, if you're new and have questions,
I'll share what I know with all of you!! That's what we should do right? Help each other!? so, there is no stupid question!
Now, having said that, I never have claimed to
know everything there is about paper crafting.....but
I will pass on what I learn with you!

Hope to help in any way I can!
Enjoy the video and have a blessed day!

I'll have these newbie posts labeled under "Newbie Segments" so it's easier to find ok:)

In this video I share about die cutting, mainly, how to put your cutting plates and dies together to run them through you BigShot. Although there are many different die cutting machines,
this one is the most universal and cuts a whole lot of stuff like, fabric, cardboard, thick cardstock and things, but you can also use other brand name dies in this machine like from Cuttlebug and Spellbinders. But there is a way to set all you need together before cutting your shapes out! Anyhow, I explain more on the video! Enjoy!

If you have any questions please leave a comment below with your contact info, or check back for my reply!

Also, if your looking for a die cutting machine... like the Big Shot or Cuttlebug, or supplies for them, I can custom order what you need, my prices are always below retail!! You can email me at jannaviles@gmail.com

See ya later people! xoxo Jules :)

Altered "A" on canvas, feat. Pink Paislee!!

Hello everyone!

Thanks for stopping by my blog for a peeksie! I've been MIA for a few days working on stuff and am ready to share one with you all!

My niece Alissa, Tony and Lisa's youngest, just had a birthday the beginning of January (so did their son...Jo-Jo's was the next day) so Happy Birthday to the both of you! I love you guys!.....but anyhow, I wanted to make Alissa something since she injured her leg and ankle like a week or two before playing b-ball! :(
Poor girl, had surgery and got a cast put on....ouch!
But knowing that her birthday was coming up, I grabbed
an "A" at my LSS and decided to alter it for her....on a 12x12 canvas....CW was having a "Canvasmania" event where people can come to the store to create their own...well, they were taught....but I couldn't get out there for one, so I did one of my very
own to gift away!

So, using PP's "Soiree" paper collection, which btw, isn't really my color at all.....now, I'm in love with it!! Totally would do this again...and will actually! Love the project...and I've already sent it out to Alissa! My Manny snapped a pic of her holding it while she's blowing me a kiss! Muah back mama!! She seemed like she liked it, hope you all do to!

In my video, I recorded myself playing with it and want to share that with you! If you have any questions, you can email me....or leave a comment...but remember, let me know how to contact you back. I get questions or a comment where I need to respond and no one leaves me an email address....silly people...anyhow, enjoy!

Here are some pics of my project....last minute additions...were some butterflies and some gorgeous cherry blossoms in yellow that center the 4 floral trim piece at the top.

Thanks for peeking guys!!
